Takhiatash Pedagogical College was founded in 1971. Pursuant to Presidential Decree No. PF-158 of October 16, 2024, it was reorganized as the Pedagogical Technical School of the Republic of Karakalpakstan.
In the 2025–2026 academic year, 545 students study across 6 programs. 199 students are enrolled in the dual education format.

The school trains specialists in pedagogy and information technology on a grant and fee basis. Dual education is available in selected programs.

Applications are accepted online every July via the my.edu.uz platform. Tuition for 9th-grade graduates is grant-based.
9th-grade graduates are admitted on a state grant basis. Selected programs also accept fee-based students.
Graduates receive a state-recognized diploma.
In dual education, students learn theory at the school and gain practical skills directly in the workplace. Currently 199 students study in this format.
